Oh hey there! I’m Deanna – the founder, face, and everything-in-between behind Birdie.
I've had a camera in my hand since 2010 and a soft spot for small brands doing brilliant things for even longer. But Birdie has always been about more than just photography. With a background across marketing, communications, content creation, social media strategy, website building and copywriting, I know how all the pieces of your brand fit together - and how to make sure they're actually working for you.
From wellness practitioners to beauty entrepreneurs, creative directors to corporate teams, I've helped businesses across a huge range of industries look and sound their absolute best online. I bring the strategy and the visuals together, because pretty photos without a plan are just... pretty photos.
Based in Brisbane (and travelling across the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Byron and, from time to time, New Zealand). Outside of work you'll find me chasing my wild little toddler (she's the best kind of chaos), hunting for treasures at the local op shop, grabbing one too many coffees, or wandering by the beach dreaming up new ideas.
Why Birdie? I wanted something one word, a bit retro, a bit cheeky, and bigger than just photography- because these days, we do so much more than that 🐦
